Join us for an integrative mind-body workshop based on yoga philosophy, contemporary research, and sixteen years of personal experience. Stilling the Waves is a program that offers practical techniques & resources inspired by yoga to support us through stress & anxiety.
Yoga supplies an amazing body of knowledge & techniques we can learn to draw on in anxious moments. In this workshop, you'll learn yoga strategies to ease anxiety using a wide variety of yoga practices that you can gently adapt to your daily needs. We will open with an embodiment exercise & dialogue about the science & philosophy of yoga for mental wellbeing. From theory to practice, Eva will then lead you through a class designed to release anxiety in the mind and body, including meditation, pranayama, mindful movement, embodied massage, and restorative yoga. This practice is instructed for all-levels and the movement is intentionally accessible. About Eva
Eva is a certified yoga educator who began practicing yoga at a young age to manage her anxiety. Later as a teacher, she began to direct her studies of yoga to better understand her anxiety and support clients with their own. She became increasingly curious about the nervous system and how we can use breath, meditation, and movement to shift its responses. This workshop is the result of this journey, integrating the wisdom and benefits of yoga to help us find emotional balance.
Eva loves the soft and sacred aspects of yoga that bring us home to our bodies. Holding space for connection and introspection, she loves to help her students shed stress and find nourishing rest.
Eva is a Canadian Yoga Educator specializing in the soft, supported practices of yin yoga, restorative yoga and myofascial release. Having completed her initial yoga training when she was just 17, Eva has guided practice for fifteen years.
With her gentle wisdom and vast experience, Eva loves to offer reflective classes inspired by functional anatomy, nervous system regulation, and the philosophical origins of yoga practice.
She has remained dedicated to her continuing studies, completing over 1000 hours in hatha, vinyasa, yin, restorative, Thai massage, myofascial release, anatomy, and therapeutics.
Eva owned a studio in Canada for several years before uprooting to travel and teach internationally. She now primarily facilitates yoga teacher trainings and retreats. Eva lives in Portugal and loves the opportunity to co-create events with her dear friends like Lauren and reconnect with her beloved students from all over the world!
