Dose of Joy: Guided Movement Meditation w/Marta

☀️Why?
We have been conditioned to show up in the world in a very linear way - striving for carriers, logical decisions, numbers, structure, predictability, and perfection. We inhabit our brains to the point that we might identify ourselves with what we think exclusively. Whereas we also live in the body, where dynamic energy flows, and can’t be predicted or always explained by rational mind. And most importantly, it can't be controlled.

☀️What?
This workshop is designed for you to come back to your home, your vessel - your body. We will uncover deeper layers of our embodiment by letting go, tapping into softness, activating the senses, and our explosive innate joy. The power, joy, and magnitude you strive for are already inside you. To find it you just need to allow them.

☀️How?
JOY as our main focus will take us on a journey of reflection, meditation and lots of movement. Dance background is not necessary because we don’t focus here on how things look, but rather on how they make us feel. It is recommended to wear something comfy, and bring a bottle of water.

☀️Benefits of the practice

* breaking up with habitual overthinking and stress
* letting go into presence with your body
* embodying and strengthening innate joy from the inside out
* finding more depth, grace and groundedness
* allowing your body to lead and take up space
* lots of JOY!

Allow yourself to fall into presence and take up space that your body is really craving for.

About Marta

Marta Golasz is originally from Poland and came to Porto in 2021. She has always had a movement practice of some sort—gymnastics, competitive dancing, choreography, dance improvisation. Her passion for yoga began in 2020 when, during the pandemic, her favorite thing to do was find new hobbies. Yoga quickly became a daily routine and it opened many more opportunities for movement and curiosity, as well as more depth to the practice of self-discovery.

Her mission is to encourage people to practice compassion and take time for self-study, which enables having more agency and connection to one another. Join her and embrace the transformative power of yoga.
