Brahma Mudras and Pranayama Workshop w/Fanni

Dear lovely people, this is a call for everyone who loves to do yoga and would like to see and experience the practices beyond the asanas (postures). This workshop is about Brahma mudras—different shoulder, neck, and head movements—as well as breathing exercises.

Brahma mudras allow the flow of prana, the energy of life force throughout the body. They calm the mind and energize the body, improve focus, and detoxify our body systems. They can also relieve pain and stiffness in the head, neck, shoulders, and upper back and strengthen the nervous system. These movements activate ajna, sahasrara, visshudha and manipura chakras. You can balance your thyroid system, communicate easier and also improve your eyesight.

The pranayama or breathing exercises we will practice are sequential where one step is important and connected to the other. In the end, we can reach a peak called Nauli. These exercises balance the Ida, Pingala and Sushumna nadis inside our body, the three main channels that are important for us to work peacefully. This breath practice will improve different parts of the lungs and we can clear our breathing passages. They massage the internal organs, strengthening the core.

By the end of the class, during a joyful relaxation, you will feel all the energy flowing through your body. It will give you a stable mind and leave you floating as you step into the weekend.

About Fanni: My name is Fanni Lukacs, I arrived in this wonderfully vibrant city from Tata, Hungary. I have practiced yoga for ten years now and I have been teaching for four years. I learned different ways mainly traditional hatha yoga. I am particularly interested in breathing exercises or pranayama, which are also important parts of yoga and I am happy to teach meditation through the asanas.
